On Friday, Apr 18 2008, Penn's Civilians will hold its 3rd Annual Fundraising Dinner at The Penn Stater in State College, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the event is not only to raise money to support Penn's Civilians' programs, but to also create awareness of the organization and build positive relationships with community members. |

Civilians).
Penn's Civilians is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable
organization of purely public interest.
With unique programs designed to advance and affirm Pennsylvania's youth, Penn's Civilians' organization began at Steelton High School and has recently been introduced to the State College School District. With your help, we will continue to reach out to the young people of our State.

George Washington Carver rose above the challenges of slavery, poverty, and an inferior physical condition to become one of America's greatest educators. In spite of his hardships, he earned a master's degree in agriculture and was appointed by Tuskegee's founder and first president, Booker T. Washington, to develop and direct the University's department of agriculture. Funded in part by the United States Department of Agriculture, Carver and Washington developed an outreach program which Carver believed to be his most significant contribution toward the education of people. |
